Where have we been?

It’s a long story, but worth trying to explain without going too deep into the “weeds”. First, thank you all for your patience! I’ve kept in touch with a few of our customers, letting them know the progress towards relaunching after a two year hiatus. Otherwise, I’ve been quiet.

My sister was diagnosed ten years ago with Early Onset Alzheimer’s at 51. She asked me to help her. After eight years of the disease progressing, I made the decision that I needed to be more directly involved so I moved her near me in 2017. In mid 2016, my dad said he was struggling and asked me to come see him soon. I went to visit him and found that was an understatement. His health was spiraling the wrong direction. I spent almost a year in time living with him, and away from my wife who had gone back to work to stop the bleeding financially. She’s amazing. I decided to move him near me as well so I could be directly involved with his care in 2018.

I’m sure there are some caregivers who are reading this that get it. I wanted to put my life, and business, on hold while I focused on making them both as comfortable as possible…so I did. It’s rewarding to give unconditional love back to those who have loved you. It sucks to witness those you love fade away.

My dad passed in September 2018, and my sister passed in January of 2019. In between those days, I was diagnosed with Melanoma at the wrong end of the scale, and told the evening before Thanksgiving Day when family and friends were coming for dinner. It took thirty days to line up the aggressive surgery. The “head games” are pretty tough. Its been a little over a year and I’m still cancer free! That year in time sucked.

I have since been working on two estates, and trying to get a better set of Knockrz produced for when I had the chance to relaunch. The estates are almost complete (at least enough where they don’t require daily attention), and I was finally happy with a version of Knockrz that is much better than version 1.0! I just got an initial order of inventory in and they exceed my expectations.

Now, with the help of my son and daughter in law, we are finalizing a new website and store to take orders! If you’re reading this around mid February, we made our goal.

Nice to be back! Great to be healthier! Can’t wait to see you all at rallies! Hoping you’ll consider putting your bike(s) between a nice set of Knockrz in 2020!
